Does anybody know of a good type of wood to make a replacement handle out of, since my roommates' zeal for destroying cabinetry (an old armoire in our basement, thankfully nothing in the kitchen) led to the shattering of the original handle? Also, any recommendations on HOW to make the handle? I'm thinking some sort of hardwood equally suitable for thwacking them upside the head, but any recommendations are appreciated.
