My son called me here at work to inform me that my Armour Class Mortuary had FINALLY came.
The little turd opened it and denied me the pleasure of doing so! 'Ol well, just 3 1/2 more hrs. 'til I can
wrap me hands around it and look in awe. Much more to follow....................

Congrats to your new sword William.

Ok, finally made it home to play with the new sharpy.
First impression was very surprised at the weight & balance. Very quick, very agile. In fact, side by side, hand in hand, it feels lighter than my Paul Chen Mortuary, but I know that the balance has a little to do with the feel. Fit is wonderful, everything good and tight. Shark-skin grip is really nice, not as rough to the feel as others I've handled. Finish..well there are a few spots where the blueing on the hilt is a bit rough, but to me, that's just a character trait.
All in all, I couldn't be happier with this sword. Haven't cut with it yet, (had to come home a mow the yard first) ,but I did get a whole roll of film shot. Will post pics tomorrow, just as soon as I can get them back.

Glad you like it. It is a very agile sword, lacking only a bit in the finish (rough spots) - a soldier's sword rather than a officer's. It makes up the rough finish with its excellent balance.

Hey, that's great! So...um...what are you going to do with the PC Mortuary? Probably just practically give it away to somebody who really wants one of these, right? RIGHT?

Seriously, although I've been looking for a used MRL 15th c. piece (Arbedo? Towton?) to fill the big gap in my collection, I've wanted on of those PC Mortuary Hilts since they were introduced. Send me a PM if you decide to sell it. The hilt isn't nickel plated or stainless steel, is it?

I'm curious to hear your thoughts regarding the sharpening and edge geometry of the sword when you compare it to, say, the Albion swords you saw at Atlanta. Let us know how it cuts, too.
