Arming sword Circa 1275-1350 AD. Blade is 5160 spring steel hardened to HRc52-53, then selectively drawn down to HRc45-48 through the shoulders and tang. The blade features a 'bright' finish and a 'rolled' convex edge without secondary edge bevels. Pommel is Mild Steel. Guard is 5160 spring steel. The handle is sandwiched hardwood wrapped in linen cord and covered with a brown leather with a central riser. The tang is riveted over the top of the pommel. This sword is provided with a brown leather scabbard reinforced at the throat and chape.
