Hi there!
I was wondering if any of you our there knows some really nice sites with exampels of period war/longsword belts!
I need to carry a standard length longsword the best way possible. . .
Thanks on advance!
What period? The common styles of belt vary over time. I am currently working on a 15th century belt for my longsword.
ahh of course. . .ehm early 14th to late15th century would be great. . .
I'm not too knowledgable about this stuff, so I can't really help directly, but your new time frame is still 150-200 years. A dollar says the pros on here come back asking for even more narrow of a time frame. Try to knock it down to a 50 year period to get the good answers.
Early 14th century is going to look like this:

While late 15th century is going to look like this:

There are a great variety of deviations based on the region, decade and sword type throughout this era. Adam is correct - you must narrow your interest considerably to get an educated answer.
