Does anybody know anything about this text? Can anybody give me a clue as to whether it is an actual martial arts text or not? Thanks.

well, i did (and do) not want to read the whole book, but from what i took in shortly going over it, that has nothing to do with martial arts.
its deals with the question if "self defense" of the early lutheran churches is just in the eyes of god, if they should commit to violence, wether the kaiser is on their side or on the popes side...

Thanks a bunch! Now I want to read it even more in order to compare it with Luther.
i hope you get a reasonable translation then, this text is not easy, even for a native german-speaker.
