hi all
as the title suggest im looking for a messer for practice with so it needs to be blunt durable and historically accurate.
also i dont know a huge amount about the role these weapons played and their historical influence can anyone help me out.
also i would love to find some sort of resource so that i can look at the variants of these weapons.

Hello All,

My group ordered 6 nice aluminum trainers from Walter Neubauer in Germany <walter.neubauer@freenet.de>.
He makes them for the group Ochs and if I'm not mistaken the pair used in the Ochs DVD was made by Walter.

At first we thought we wanted blunt steel for our training weapons too, but now we are quite happy with our trainers.

His prices are quite fair, he has more than one model to choose from and a fair number of options to choose from. He had ours ready in less than a month.

Here in Germany quite a few people have and use the Aluminium Messer, they stand up quite well. The newer models are even lighter and better balanced. I got mine last year, which was of the older variety. But it is still a nice piece.
