I just finished hilting my first seax and thought I'd share it with you :)
The blade is made by one of my re-enactment friends but all the parts of the handle is made by me.
It's not really historically correct afaik, just me fooling around and trying some different techniques.
It is also meant for re-enactment combat, hence the rounded tip and lack of an edge.

Nice One!
I humbly present my beginner project; a Langseax.
My Langseax is inspired by the Winchester Broke back seax.
I started with a spring steel remnant from a sword maker I know and spent a lot of time on the end of a angle grinder! It's rebated and rounded at the point for re-enactment combat.
After a little play testing I refined the shape a little more and tried some inlay work. I cheated a bit and used my Dremel tool to cut the grooves for the inlay rather than chiseling.
The wood for the handle was made out of a trunk of English Plane (lacewood) that I hand rived.
