I was looking at the leather quiver on Albion's site (http://www.albionarmorers.com/accoutrements/quiver.htm) and wondering how the straps work. Is it back mounted, or worn at the hip? I was going to just email albion directly, but figured maybe other people would be interested too. :)

I have wondered at the very same question. Hope someone can enlighten us.

It looks very much to as if it mounts on the back - the placing of the straps seems rather awkward for any other position, but I'll await the final verdict from Abion

To be historically correct, it should hang from the hip.

Oops, sorry. I should have said historically correct for Medieval European armies. I would imagine that horse cultures would be more inclined toward back quivers, though I'm not sure of this.

If I remember from my readings correctly the mongols used hip quivers as well, or multipul quivers suspended from their saddles....
