Overview vid of T Page's Use of the Highland Broadsword
Hello All,

One of our German Longsword students wanted to shoot a vid of our Highland Broadsword interpretation for a film competition. Out of 250 films he took Honorable mention. Below is a hint of what we teach in distant Alaska.

Our plans are to make a series of vids this winter/ spring with his help to share our interpretation this system. Look for longer vids to come, expanding on foot work, the other 4 cuts, the unnamed guards, more complex maneuvers and the use of the targe.

Cheers,

David Teague
Hi David thanks for the vid, hope to see more of them soon.
Excellent! I also look forward to seeing more. Thank you!
That was a really interesting video. The closing of the hand to create leverage is bread and butter in the Eastern Kingdom of the SCA. I had suspected that at some point it would have been used historically but this is the first time I am seeing it associated with a specific time and place. To what extent is this "hand snap" method detailed in Thomas Page's work? Any information is appreciated.

I thought the Turkish Disarm was particularly cool. I have subscribed to your channel and I very much look forward to seeing more videos.
