First, let me apologize for making my first post one for the "off-topic" forum. I've been lurking about a while, but I rarely "speak" in forums unless I have a something important to say/ask.

With that said, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me find a web-site I visited about five years ago. It was a jeweler/metal-arts site that produced modern interpretations of Norse/Anglo-Saxon jewelry based on historic pieces. From what I can remember, their versions were produced mostly in steel and copper, and had a somewhat more angular, aggressive styling than the originals. In particular, they had a Vendel raven/bird-of-prey pendant design that was very eye-catching, and very out of a poor student's price range at the time.

I've searched high and low, off and on, for the last year to find this site, using every combination of search terms that seem even remotely useful. I know I originally arrived there by way of an Asatru site, but I can't remember which one.

There work was very well done, and most definitely not Axel/Viking Warrior.com stuff.

Try Urweg. He makes great stuff; some based on finds, some inspired by finds, and some modern but very well done.

Oh yes, and let's not forget Raymond's Quiet Press. Great stuff at great prices. Not quite as nice as Urweg, buy Raymond's stuff won't send your wife into a conniption fit.

I love the look of Urwegs product but as it's awfully pricey I've never done business with them, great looking stuff though.

I have done a lot of business with Raymonds Quite Press. His product is pretty decent, not outstanding but good and quite affordable, and very reliable on the business end.

Urweg used to come to SCA events here in the northwest US. If anything his items are more impressive in the flesh, and his knowledge of the history behinds them is accordingly immense. If you have the money I'd say Urweg all the way.
