Currently I am considering doing the HAM 2036.1 for a custom project I have with bladesmith Jeff Helmes. However, one of those is a question I have about the inlay on "Reverse" side of the blade.
The feature article here about the HAM 2036.1

the "Primary" side and inlaid marks

The inlay on the "Primary" side of the blade is shown quite clearly in several pictures both here and the pic on the Higgins Armoury website. However, I have only found one picture of the other side (or "Reverse") of the blade, and the resolution is not the best so it is hard to make out.
Looking VERY CLOSELY at the inlaid area in this pic, it seems that the inscribed markings are the opposite of those on the "Primary" side of the blade. It appears to be two crosses flanking a single group of three stripes. The spacing of the cross relative to the guard would seem to indicate this too. However, due to the resolution it is hard to see

So does anyone know if the inscription on the "Reverse" of the HAM 2036.1 is in fact two crosses flanking a single group of three stripes in the center, or is it just a mirror of the "Primary" side?
Anyone that has better pictures of the HAM2036.1 or that has seen the "Reverse" side in person I would greatly appreciate your input.
I didn't see the sword, nor other pictures of it, but on these pictures I see the same marking as you do.
Marking on the reverse: X III X
Interesting form of a Cross, btw...

Thank you. After playing with the image in a photo editor, and having it confirmed by you and others, I am confident that it is X III X on the reverse.
The cross is definitely one of my favorite parts. Its very subtle...
