Somebody queue "Ode to Joy" or "Also sprach Zarathustra" - after a six month wait, the Valkyrja arrived on my doorstep four days before my 31st birthday. :D
[Edit:] For Chad, these pictures were taken at noon on a cloudy day using a Canon Powershot set to auto adjust.

Here she is with her cousins.
Oooo, very nice! I really love the bronze/black for this hilt.
And happy birthday! :)

You are one well equipped Gebur.

Happy birthday indeed Gavin! Those are all great looking weapons you have in addition to the Valkyrja.

Gebur is right, Mike.
The black and bronze is really very striking. At first I was big into the Jelling style, but I've come to love the Urnes style of norse art. I like the shape of the guard as much as the elaborate pattern, and I probably would have bought the Knud if it weren't for my interest in the Geibig type 4 blade. I like the clean simplicity of the Knud, but the Valkyrja is a looker for sure. The trouble now is that I have to get a scabbard that siuts her, and that can't be cheap.
I think I'm done with weapons for a while, it's high time I acquired a byrnie and helm. The helm I think I'll try to make myself, but I haven't the patience to rivet 40,000 rings together. No thanks, I'll be buying that.

It's Mike, actually. Mark is my uncle, if by chance you happen to know him.
