Here is a sword that has been passed down in the family, Please help me identify it to the best of your alls ability. It has a story that I will share but, I find it to be a bit far fetched. 1st I will try and upload some photos and answer any questions I can.

The overall length is 38"
On the blade there are 3 carvings each measuring 1 to 1.5" in length
One is just some scroll work
one is a couple old crossed cannons with flag pole or spears through them (behind them)
the 3rd is some flag poles in some round decorative "tube" stuctures
Opposite side has 3 as well 2 are the crossed cannons and the middle is a flag shield combo
The flags have no distinct markings and the cannons etc. have what appear to be a flower carved in them?????
Anyway the handle has a crown in the middle of the pearl and it is raised and the hilt has a lion head and there is a Lion on the forward part of the Hilt/handle

It looks like a 19th century german court sword, specifically bavarian. I have seen one identical to that one before. Is there any kind of maker's mark ? That might help esablish the age. W

I could not find any kind of a makers mark I htink I looked it over in all the standard spots but could not find anything, I guess i will start googling Court swords etc.

I have one just like this. It does have some markings. I will take some photos and post. I too would like to know its history and value. google doesn't have much.
