Where should I look for detailed information about the Russian style of quilted coat known as the tyegilyai/teghily, like the ones shown in this image?

Would it be right to assume that they're basically just quilted, short-sleeved caftans with particularly high collars? Or were they built according to a substantially different method of construction (compared to civilian caftans, that is)?
