looking for vendors who sell 11th century clothing
Hello all i'm currently trying to find anyone who deals in either custom or already has a catalog of 11th century clothing, my girlfriend and I are doing a medieval wedding theme and i'm trying to find clothing for myself, she's already found a nice medieval dress, so does anyone have any place they'd recommend?
Twin Roses Designs
Andrea will take care of you. twinrosesdesigns.com, or something close to that spelling, anyway. Congratulations on your wedding.
Chances are, unless all your friends and family are re-enactors you probably don't want accurate medieval clothing. To most people it just doesn't look 'fancy' enough for a wedding.

I'd stick to fantasy 'medieval-esque' clothing if you just want a themed wedding. Then you can indulge in all sorts of fun, but in no way medieval, behaviour like gnawing on great hunks of meat and throwing the bones on the floor, belching, etc.

As re-enactors focussing on the 14th Century we went for late 14thC, extremely expensive garments (nobility) for our wedding.

My wife is wearing a white damask cotehardie over a pink kirtle. The cotehardie is lined in red silk. I'm wearing a high-necked houpelande over a wool doublet and hose, and a bag hat. Both outfits are very typical of the period 1395 - 1410(ish)

All clothing, with the exception of leatherwork, made by my wife.

PM sent. And again, congratulations!
Maybe my sister? (I don't get kickbacks!)

Has some stuff in stock, and may be able to do custom work depending on her workload. Way cheap!

Congrats!
