I currently have a Knud sword ordered through Christian Fletcher along with a scabbard and baldric.
I thought it might be interesting to hear some thoughts on this sword from various collectors, so feel free to share your opinions. The more specific questions I have are: How long is the grip? How does she compare in handling to the Norman? I always find differences in handling interesting between swords with the same blades and different hilt furniture.... I expect her to be a great sword but I welcome the thoughts of more experienced collectors and WMA practicioners.
Thank you for your time.
Respectfully,
Rex Metcalf
No one has handled this sword? :wtf:
Someone is selling theirs in the Marketplace forum. You could send them a private message to ask them their thoughts.
I'm not sure how popular this sword is yet. I haven't seen anyone post any thoughts on it. Most people seem to like its sexier sister, the Valkyrja.

Well, I haven't handled a Ka-Nood, but I have handled a Valkyrja -- similar
grip -- and a Gaddhjalt -- little bit similar blade.
I really liked the grip on the Valk. Very comfortable, as opposed to the general feeling
about Albion's Viking swords that you have to adjust your grip a certain way. I owned
both a Clontarf and a Gotland at one time or another, and while I enjoyed
their appearance and blade presence, their grips annoyed my hand to no end. Mind
you, gentlefolk, I'm more collector than cutter.
The Knud's grip -- if I recall correctly -- is just a less ornate version of the Valk's.
So, if my opinion holds true, very comfy in the hand. In fact, the Ka-Nood is on my
want-list and only my ... pause and think about it nature ... prevents me from immediately
make a dash to the Marketplace. B-)
Hope this helps ya' some ...
