back side of the armour
I need the good photos of the back side of this armour. Actually the back side of helmet and cuirass. And maybe something more.
Can you tell us where the armour is from? That will help people track down more info.

With just a picture I'd have to look through all my books for a matching harness and then see if I had pics of the back. If I knew what museum or collection or book it was in, it would take much less time to figure out if I had pics of the back.
Hi Folks,

I was looking through the old pages of the forum for something, and came across this thread.....

The harness in question is A.65 in the Wallace Collection in London. German, ca. 1620-25.
I do not know of any pictures of the rear of this harness. If it has to be this harness, then the only way that you will probably obtain them is by asking the Wallace Collection direct.
If on the other hand , other similar armours will do, then there are some that I have showing similar armours in the Landeszeughaus in Graz, Austria.

Regards,

Russ
I have pics of some similar pieces from Graz and elsewhere too I believe. But I've taken so many armor photos by now, it's hard to remember. I'll have to check.
can u get a copy of arms and armour of the medieval knight by Edge and Paddock? on page 180 it shows a back view of a harness not 100% like this one, but close enough that you can get the idea of the articulation using sliding rivets and leather interiors.
