Dont know how many of you have seen this link before to the Swedish Army Museums Sword collection here......

........its a bit obscure to find and doesnt come up on searches in English, but I thought that some might find it interresting. Its not exactly in my own period of interrest, nevertheless the Sword photos open up to some nice detail shots.

You see Merv, one of the sabres displayed at the Swedish Army Museum broke its blade. No one suggests that its blade should be replaced.
I really wanted to visit that place last time I was in Stockholm. Alas, I was veto'd by my family. T_T
Too bad; I would have loved a closer look on that funny-looking Pappenheimer rapier. Still, I did get to visit the Royal Armory, which was almost as good:
