Albion squire viking sword
Hey, I was looking into buying a new sword and I was wondering If anyone knew if this was the right sword to buy?
Anything Albion is worth it's weight in gold. Go for it!

I am assuming you want a Migration era weapon, right?

Kinda depends on what you're looking for, I would say. If you're looking for an affordable yet high-quality Viking style semi-blunt sword, it's absolutely the right sword to buy; a Medieval longsword, not so much. :)
I have that sword, and I'm very, very happy with it.
Yes a viking era, moderatly priced sword is what im looking for, I just wanted to know some opinions if this was the best one in that price range.

Without a doubt. You cannot go wrong with Albion.

Yes, it is.
Geoff
I bought a Vladimir Cervenka Viking sword at that price point and in hind sight I wish I had bought the Albion.
Garrett, if you save a bit more you wouldn't go wrong with the Next Gen line of Migration pattern swords. (viking)

Another idea might be the Albion squire lines with the first gen fancy hilts available at http://www.viking-shield.com/ . I own a sharpened squire line "Vinland", and I have nothing but praise for it. They are about 80 bucks more than the plain squire line viking (more if you want them sharpened), but prettier, and mostly in stock for immediate shipping.

I would also add that, despite all of the suggestions that you spend more, if about $400 is your upper limit, the Albion Squire is probably definatly the best bet. :)
