Kris Cutlery Teutonic
Does anyone have any experience with this sword? Seems like a XVII I think - hexagonal cross section (no fuller - wierd but not a requirement of the type), capable in the thrust, but still a cutter. The sword appears in the comparison feature of this site.

I'm really deciding among Kris cutlery, or an MRL longsword, or even the Dordogne from Hank Reinhart at Gen 2. Any opinions welcome.

Primary purpose is function, I am not looking for a hanger, but an all-business sword that will perform.
I've been interested in this sword for some time, too. I've not heard of anyone in the community who has owned one. It's quite nice looking and seems, by the photos at least, to represent an under-represented type. I wonder a bit about the combination of features of this sword as compared to extent originals, but regardless, it's still very, very intriguing to me.

My experience with Kris Cutlery products is that are quite durable. The ones I've used were more than adequate for cutting. I'd hesitate to use any of them for sparring or anything like that, as they've all been quite sharp.
Thanks Nathan,

I called Kris cutlery. It turns out that they are within driving distance of my office. Cecil Querino (sp?) runs the place and seems full of info he is willing to share. I will probably drive over to see the sword, and report back. (Unfortunately, I don't really know enough to post a review, but will share my uninformed impression).
Still looking for input,
