Great collection, Bill! I clearly only saw the "tip of the iceberg" in December.

Yeah, I did say it was too much work to carry it all over to Pamela's place, didn't I? Now you see why. :D

The only thing missing is a nice basket hilt!

Well, I do have every intention of picking up a nice schiavona at some point... the main reason I haven't yet is because I want a really nice one, and that cost major bucks. Aside from that, though, basket hilts have never really caught my fancy.
Just for the sheer sake of amusement, here's a pic of part of my "sword display". And by "sword display" I mean "closet". :) I live in a studio apartment, so I basically have a living room/bedroom, and you have to pass through the walk in closet to get to my restroom. The way the closet is set up, it has three walls, and you can only see two of them when you walk by to head into the restroom: The third, where the swords are, can only be seen if you specifically go around to look for them. I prefer this because visitors will never know they are there unless I actually invite them to see the swords. Otherwise I don't display them.

Here's the best pic I can get... I can only back up so far in there, so there's a couple swords left out of the side. You may note that much of my collection isn't there: I keep a large amount of my stuff at my fencing academy, particularly the blunts and fencing implements.

You have taken an interesting and different approach. Usually, when people here have mentioned "closet" and "display" in the same sentence, they just mean a pile of stuff in a corner. You are clearly more organized than that (unless the neatness is just for the sake of the photo! ).
Heh, well, I have them more or less organized so that if there is someone I want to show them to, then they're presentable. I also don't want them to get banged up laying in the corner... and indeed, once upon a time, that used to be what I did, and they'd get beat up and rusty quite often. Now adays I own more expensive swords, so I tend to take better care of those. But the ones I keep at the academy, well, those ones would give most collectors a shiver. :)
