Well now, the 3rd (actually the first chronologically) was made well prior to mine. I remember it having a plain steel blade with a slight curvature. I used have a pic of it in my last computer which gave up the ghost with loss of all data. I went back and looked, but so far, I'm coming up snake eyes.
Any hints?

That was a good clue, but I did have to track down the photo, and then go to your site and stare HARD at all the pics. Man, that was hard work. :D
