My Paul Binns seax with Alojz Krišto grip is finished :)
It took Alojz longer than usual but he finally managed to grip my Paul Binns seax blade I brought home from my London trip. :) The grip is inspired, but not a copy of, Aachen seax attributed to Charlemagne. Materials are fossil oak and brass. The tang was supposed to be just glued but Alojz forgot about that and peened it over the cap. Not a big issue for me so I didn't complain. ;) Scabbard is not historical, just a simple wooden scabbard with black leather so I have something to keep seax in before I get a proper historically accurate scabbard.
Hi Luka, that seax looks awesome. I visited Krišto in his shop last august and the man is a no-nonsense real master of his trade. Especially with early firearms, his handiworks are both beautiful and functional pieces.
