Hello All,
Finished this one today.
14" long 1.5" wide three bar composite (wrought iron/1095) with twisted wrapped cutting edge. The handle is 5" long made of steel with gold overlay (from India). The sheath is leather over wood tooled to match the floral motif of the handle.
19" over all and about 500 grams without sheath.

Wow Richard that is beautiful. I love how the pattern in the blade and the floral patterned hilt seem to work together to make one flow into the other (at least that is my perception). Very nice work indeed! :D

That dagger is an excellent piece of workmanship, Good Job!!!
Hi Ric,
Beautiful piece,
When you say the about the handle-overlay work, did you make the handle and have the Koftgiri (spelling?) done or had the handle made for the blade from India,
with the tang end,it looks dismountable?but the four rosette's could be pinned?
Really nicely done,
Thanks for sharing,

Hello All,
The blade is attached with cutlery resin and will not come out of the handle (blind holes in the tang and pins held by resin). The gold overlay as well as the steel for the handle were made in India. I made the blade. The koftgari overlay technique is one I will learn, but as of now I do not have that skill-set.
Yours,
Ric
