Does anyone have any info on the distal taper of these blades other than what is written in the Arma article? Any info on the blade diameters in general?

I just measured mine. It's just slightly more than 1" wide just ahead of the Schilt and 3/16" thick at that point. It tapers down to approximately 1/2" wide by 1/16th" thick at the point. I hope that helps.

Is it a gradual taper over the whole length of the blade or does it taper sharply about 1/3 of the way from the tip?

It appears to taper gradually throughout its entire length.
