Fulvio Del Tin has changed the design of one of his company's classic swords. Because this change was not announced publicly in advance, prospective buyers may want to inquire about possible similar changes before ordering a new Del Tin. I don't know for a fact that any other changes are being made, but here's a description of the one I know about:

I have just purchased a sword of type 2153 from Albion Armorers, which I believe just arrived in America a few days ago from your factory. The sword differs from your picture and description of this sword type. It has a fuller on the blade rather than a flattened triangular cross section, and the pommel is plain iron rather than silver plated. Has the design of this sword been changed? Or is the sword something that was mistakenly assembled from incorrect parts?

Dear Sir,
1. The dimension and design of the sword 2153 has not changed.
There was an improvement in the material of its pommel and guard.
It was silver plated BRASS and now it is STEEL.
The ricasso is now with a small fuller in place of the flattened part, this provide to the strong more thickness
I hope you like the sword with this little changes.
I will change the picture of this sword in my website as soon as possible

That design change was made years ago - I think it was in 2000. I mention this in my review of the sword http://www.myArmoury.com/review_dt2153.html

Yeah, there're a lot of Del Tin models that have changed over the years. If you look at Del Tin's official page, you'll see that some of the models, such as their cup hilt rapier, don't look the same as they do on the websites of many American dealers.

I am pleased to read this.
I feel that sometines it is not easy to meet the customers expectations.
For example, some of them want heavier swords with a thick edge while some others want a sharpened edge. I prefer to make the standard edge not sharpened.
Besides when it is the case I want to improve my products
