I've been waiting for an update like this one for quite awhile, and I gotta say
I like the looks of this sword a great deal. I had a sword much like this one a
few years back -- made by a competitor and dressed up by Christian Fletcher,
and it was one of the sword I wish that I had kept. Very fast. Very mobile. Nice
work being done at Albion, yet again !!!!

It's a nice looking piece Howie... but of course in the spirit of no good deed goes unpunished I have to ask, is there still a plan to do a Museum Line version complete with engraving and grip?

Wow!! Judging by those pictures, I'd say this one's been worth the wait! I take it one of those belongs to Aaron? If I recall, he bagged Munich #1 (out of 500). I like the idea of having a half-leather/half-wire grip version; I wasn't aware of that option. In terms of usage and handling, I've always preferred leather grips, but wire-wrapping is certainly a nice aesthetic touch.

Somewhere in here, there's another topic about 'Introducing the Munich.' Whenever someone would post to that and make it bump to the top of the queue, I'd rush to see if the actual sword was finally finished! Great work Mr. Waddell. It seemed that whenever a new Albion NextGen sword became available, somebody always asked "When's the Munich come out?" or "What's the update on the Munich?" :p

Good things come to those who wait. And now to the lucky owners -- your impressions?

In my opinion that's one of the most aesthetically beautiful swords you've come out with. I absolutely love the proportion and flow of the different components. The half-wire grip is an excellent optional choice as well. That pommel reccess just begs for some kind of decorative bronze disc.

Oakeshott seemed very fond of the original. Its too bad he isn't still around to see and wield this new version.

O Great Sword Gods, I am unworthy! That sword is just too beautiful for words.

I'm sure the guard and blade are true to the museum specimen. I am surprised by it as the concept art gave me an impression of a more flat cruciform guard. I had thought the blade might even have a very fine fuller along the first third of its length.

I find myself wishing for a hybrid between the Gallowglass's blade, a more plain guard, and this sword's long grip!

Another great looking sword! I really like the wire wrapped grip, of course I understand that is a matter of personal preference. I do notice that the wire wrap slightly effects the weight of the sword and the CoG, I think it would be cool to have both swords reviewed by the same hand to see how this spells out in regards to handling.
