You mean the Alcazar that was the seat of a famous spanish civil war battle?
At the end of it it was more or less a pile of rubble.
Here are some images of the suits of armour I was asking about! Thank you in advance for any information!

I'm no expert, but it looks like a replica. It's probably still an antique, but not from the 15th century. To me it just looks like someone trying very hard to replicate a style while missing much of the grace and elegance of the originals.
Of course, this is all just my gut feeling and based on nothing more than opinion and a little observation. :)

I would agree with Chad. There are definately a few contradictory issues in this harness, period features of various parts just don't match up. On the other hand, I would have to say that the workmanship, aside from some basic form issues, is scary good... (I hope you like my choice of words there)
In the 19th c. there was a fire in the Alcazar, and most of the armours were put in afterward, with a little real 16th c. stuff. Most of them were made by Winkelmeyer of Vienna, one of the most collectible of the Victorian armour-like sculpture makers. There's one on the Peter Finer website. Winkelmeyer also made the suit de Souzy was claiming belonged to Joan of Arc.
