A great horse for a great force.
Hello Gentlemen.

As far as i´m concerned, horse armour was reduced to the frontal protection in Spain during the XVI century. My dobut is if the french, italian and german men-at-arms still used to equip their horses with ¨full horse armour¨.

Thanks to all.
Rodolfo,
Is this meant to be a new topic or a response to an existing one? As a new topic, it's lacking in much to discuss.
OK, Chad, maybe it´s a bit selfish to post a topic of this kind, but everyone is free to give any response if he or she wants.
So, if it is a boring or a flat topic there´s no need to answer it, i have asked about the horse armour in previous topics, but i didn´t have any response yet, becouse it was a bit off topic question.
I´ve found excellent info in this and other sites, and very accurate responses from the fellows members about the equipment of the Renaissance man-at-arms, but i still can´t finish to equip the guy.
Weren´t my Hercules armour topic, or the sword lenght armour even flater than this one?
Excuse me if i sound rude.

Thanks
Rodolfo,
Yes you do sound rude and it isn't appreciated. My job is to ensure that there is value to every line of discussion here.

Your original post in this thread reads like a response/answer to something else. It asks no questions and invites no discussion. I could see no way to repond to it as it seems like a random thought posted with no context and inviting no further discussion.
terence wise (medieval warfare) shows a picture of a "gothic" suit of full barding and plate armor for the rider 1475-1485.
unfortunatly he dose not mention the museum the photo is from. suit and armor were made in landshut.
