Hello all,
I love curved swords; sabres, tulwars, scimitars, cutlasses, etc.. Attached are a couple of pics of some swords I think are nice. If they don't show up with the message then go to:

They look great.I like that scimitar! Is it a copy of the existing item? How is it dated?
Hey Michael,
I am not sure what you mean about how is it dated? It is a sword offered in MRL's catolog (Museum Replicas Ltd). I too think it is neat. I think it is just a copy of the basic tulwar/scimitar from olden days. Here is a review of that very sword:

Well I mean what period was the time of use for this type of weapon.
Hey Micael,
I am no historian so I am not sure about what date it was used. But I think it is a representation of anything that might have been used from N. Africa to Baghdad to Byzantine from the Crusades on till modern times. Of course it fits right into Conan's world too.
Take care,

These designs are roughly 17th-18th century and later. Far later than what would have been found in the Islamic states in the crusading era.
Thanks for reply. So during my Constantinopol defense I won't find any in my eye... :p
