What would be the period of usage and geographical breakdown of this particular style of spear?
Would it, for example, be out-of-place for the First Crusade era?

Does this item come with the spearhead already mounted on the shaft, or shipped unattached for customers to mount on the included spear shaft?

I am hoping for the former but not sure if shipping sizes allowed for such.

And out of curiosity, is it possible to get a shaft longer than the 6'?

They come mounted when shipped in the continental US and sometimes Canada. We can ship just the head for anyone that would prefer. This is often cheaper for customers overseas.

Length of shaft is regulated by the shipping more than the stock. I can get longer shafts as a special order though the cost does go up as well as the shipping.

Having them already mounted makes your price even more attractive! Saves quite a bit of work, especially for those of us that are not well versed in flush mounting (I am assuming its a flush mount as shown in the picture), or mounting a spearhead, period.

Hi Terry

The picture above is low res and does not show the transition well. It is a socketed spear but the metal of the socket does sit a top the shaft and not a flush joint from socket to shaft. If you wanted the socket in set I could do that but would need to charge an additional fee.

I got my spear today and it's absolutely amazing. It's relatively light and balances well. I can't believe how different it feels from the CS Boar spear I have.
