Just wondering what is the usual response time for emails to Arms & Armor. I am interested in getting a custom messer from them, but it's been a few days since I sent the email and still no response.

I'll second the vote to call them. Their email is always a bit spotty, but there is almost always someone there to answer the phone.

I've corresponded with Craig a number of times via email and I usually get a response either the same day or the next. I can only think of one instance in which I had to wait longer, and that was only around three or four days. Maybe I'm just lucky? :eek: :)

Can vary from twice a day when contact has been established and the necessary back and forth of design decisions are in play.

The more usual is a couple of days to a week: Which is O.K. with me when there is no rush

Occasionally resending after a couple of days gets a response: They sometimes get overlooked when they are busy making stuff. :eek: :lol:

But, generally, communication is pretty good over the duration of a custom order from concept to shipping: Don't forget that a custom order will often take at least a few months to complete, so getting an answer the same day to a question is not critical.

BUT, as others have suggested, a phone call can be a good idea in any case as problems / design choices can be solved more easily talking than writing back and forth.

Bottom line is that they are reliable and any delays in replying is just their getting behind in their E-Mail at times.

My idea for the piece is a peasant/commoner type blade that isn't 'fancy-pants' but has a nice, homespun feel to it.

10" handle
8" guard w/ either a side ring or plate
slab handle

I wonder if A&A could do an integrel pommel? THAT would be cool.

Craig from A&A and I are in talks, so maybe we will see this sword made!
