Conroi FitzOsbern proudly presents "1069" live steel/living history event March 3-5, 2006 in Social Circle, Georgia.
A weekend of training and skirmish. Great preparation for Hastings with training and skirmish for the infantry and training, skirmish and assessments for the cavalry.
A $10 fee is required for each participant to cover site insurance and facilities. All horses will require paperwork showing a negative coggins.
All participants are requested to have minimum soft kits that conform to Viking NA standards. Training and scenarios will fall under Viking NA requirements as well.
All times are EST.
Schedule:
Friday Evening
Camp setup and picketing of horses
Saturday
9 AM Cavalry Drill
9 AM Shield Wall and Sword Drill training for infantry
12 PM Lunch Break
2 PM Foraging Expedition/1069 rebellion scenario. Norman foragers get ambushed by Saxon rebels.
4 PM Return to camp/firewood detail
5 PM Sword and Shield wall Drill for all
6 PM Finished for the day. Dinner and Drinks
Sunday:
9 AM Cavalry Drill and Cavalry Assessments, prelude for the Battle of Hastings.
9 AM Shield Wall and Sword Drill training for infantry
11 AM Second Skirmish
1 PM Camp Breakdown
