Discerner, My Sword
Hi,

After a long time at last a find some time to enter the forums and post some images of the Discerner.

If you have read my previous thread, I was asking for someone that lived in UK to help me obtain the sword.
Thankfully, I found a way, not "the best", to obtain it from the customs of my country. :)

So now proudly I can show you some photos.

I tested it on water fill bottles, on tatami mats, and on a squash.
It can cut the bottles with ease, the squash in the 3rd try I cut it without the top to be flyed away (stayed at the same place) as you will see the close up photo.
In the tatami mats I had some difficulty, probably because I didnt know how to prepare them in the right way. I wet them before testing, but not for a long time. And I couldnt stabilise them very well on the wooden stick. So every time I hit them they flyed away from the wood as well. So I never manage to cut them into 2 pieces. Always stoped a little more than halfway through them.
Another test I put my wife to throw water bottles and cut them on the air and I succeeded on that as well, and made my clothes wet. I put also 2 water bottles close together, and cut them as well both in one slash.

I am a very proud and happy owner of this excellent Sword and for another time I congratulate Albion Armorers and give my Special Thanks to Jim Lindsey and to his ancestors.

That sure is a lovely sword, Zack, and I'm glad she's finally reached you. Oh, and thanks for posting those pics! :D

I've always thought that was an extremely impressive looking sword that would be a showpiece in anyone's collection. It's nice to hear about a customer actually test cutting with the sword. Congratulations on your acquisition.
Truly a beautiful and elegant sword, the hilt is stunning and the lines of the blade elegant, congratulations on your showpiece!

Bob
