Aye, and the part about the dirk being used to cut a cavalryman's horses stomach made me laugh ! ?

What you definitely don't wanna do is publicly question a Highlander's words. Don't forget that even a little knife is deadly in their hands...

Exactly. You just don't know what other chances a Highlander will take... other than that guardless trigger. ;)
I can't resist going slightly offtopic (hey it's the name of the forum) and turn this into a concise Hanwei sgian dubh review and thumbnail test. (Sorry Mac.)
Furniture: I don't know if it looks even remotely authentic, but I doubt nickeled brass IS authentic. Might make a nice project blade though.
The purple 'gem' is glass I believe.
In spite of that I like the general looks of this 'little knife'.

Nothing wrong with the distal taper of this tool. Very nice.

To top it off it's a (faux) damascus blade. Looks just great. I actually play with it all the time since it's my 'desk knife'. Dangerously sharp and deadlier than a Highlander sock!

Folded steel, etched. I think.
Hehe!
Thanks for sharing this, Mac... The part about the dirk was quite a laugh!
Cheers,
Henrik

Oh! Another thing which amused me: The was Mr. Wood moves when he's explaining that the hielanders used both hands as fighting tools. Clearly the man IS a dancer!
