Does anyone here use Break-Free CLP to oil their swords? I saw something about it on Albion's site saying that they recommend it. I normally use Hanwei Sword Oil, which is supposed to clean and prevent rust, and it works pretty well. But, if Break-Free CLP works better, I'm willing to switch. Any feedback would be great. :)

Yes, Break Free will work fine. I use Ballistol these days but there's certainly nothing wrong with Break Free.

I've used Break-Free CLP before, too... ran out, picked up some RemOil. Like both of them quite a lot. I have also used Hanwei Sword Oil, but didn't find it was as nice... still worked, and I wouldn't toss it...

It doesn't take a heavy coat of any of these products... too much and you will actually attract dust and dirt.

Thanks for all the help. Once the Hanwei runs out I'll most likely switch to Break-Free CLP. I remember I used to use RemOil a long time ago, and I liked it quite a bit as well.

I've used break-free for years. Works well as a preventative, but it needs to be cleaned off after a while because it does start to attract dust.
It seems to attract bugs, as well.... every so often, I will find flying insects have landed on one of my exposed blades and expired thereupon... ick... but it does seem to keep the mosquito population (in my room) at bay...

There is always the Renaissance wax option: Very clean and invisible and doesn't attract anything, seems to work well so far.

I like the Rem oil also, seemed to flow very well and should migrate deep under guards where rust might start and not be noticed.
