This is my frist time post so greetings.

I am wondering were I could get a good blade blank(no hilt) of good quality. I was looking at the Hanwie Godfred replacment for a little while. Apparently there's a damb good reasion for there to be one so are there any other suppliers?
I know that Albion had a faw for sale a faw months ago. The period I'm looking at is late migration early Viking(AD650-850). I have about $200 to play with. Maby a little more with overtime. I'm not that concerned about the hilt since I could do most that work myself. If I could forge a blade I'd do the whole thing myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe a WTB in the marketplace might get a few offers of bare blades your way,
or failing that a few pm,s to the various proffesionals on the site might work, but you may have to look at a little more money,
