The MRL Dunbar. It looks fairly wieldy. Standard description of high carbon steel (what kind they dare not say) with leather covered wooden handle. Has anybody held one before? Seen one in person? I am looking for a nice one handed beater to go with my DT 5143.
Thanks for any assistance.

I should add that I am a poor college student... thus I ask about MRLs instead of the preferred Albions  .

Ashley-
There are a lot of nice pieces out there... made by a lot of different folks. Glad to have you around... :D
i've not hed that one, i have wanted to but haven't. i can tell you that MRL's european sword in very nice, if you don't take it apart, and is well worth the money. what are you looking for in a sword, that might help someone point you in a differnt direction if you want. if its just that you like the sword, thats cool, i find it rather attractive myself.
good luck on your hunt and welcome.

Well, I have a Del Tin DT 5143 that appeases my desire for a nice big two-hander. I have cut with/owned numerous other one handers ranging from an Odin Blades, which I traded to my brother, too a Windlass Drac. I am just feeling to itch for a nice new one-hander and don't have the funds for one of the more pricey ones out there (Del Tin, Atrim, Albion etc.).
then i would say the MRL European sword is definitly worth the money and would highly reccomend it, kris cutlery has a nice little Gladius that i find to be quite an awsome little piece for a 215 or so including shipping
