Packing material for swords (in Sweden)
Anyone in Sweden who could tell me where to find economical packaging options to ship swords?
Also, what is the cheapest yet safest option for shipping a sword in Sweden or Europe?
Any helpful info is appreciated.
Thanks in advance (tusen tack)
Michael
The best strategy depends on the type of sword. I have seen cruciform swords zip-tied to heavy cardboard, or sandwiched between foam in long flat cardboard boxes. Swords without bulky hits can fit in heavy cardboard tubes. Whatever you do, make sure the point is very well covered with something that cannot slip loose!
I don't know about European laws, but a very unexpensive idea my swordsmith did to delive a sword was using a cross-shaped wood board from a very unexpesive type of wood and them he mixed bubble wrap and normal adhesive tape to keep the sword in place. He delivered by a normal delivering service, like Jadlog, and everything went fine

The wood has to be longer than sword so its tip may not pierce things
