This is a strange topic but one i need help with just the same. I was just assigned a chemistry assignment were i must find 8 articles from 8 different types of sources (they can all be from the net, but they have to be from 8 different types of web sites. Say one being from a web journal and one form an open page. stuff like that).
To get to the point I wanted to do it on the chemistry of swords. I'm talking anything to do with medival arms, that is chemistry related. If someone can help me please reply.
Thank you very much for your time.
Josh,
You might want to try Anvilfire's Armoury section. The article "Swords of Iron, Swords of Steel" deals with blade material a little. I don't know about the other articles.
Don't know of any other sites, and a quick web search is not having quite the results I would like. Sorry that I can't be more helpful. Good luck.

I,m not sure if this is applicable but i was searching for heat treating tips on yahoo, i came across a site that was discussing cryonic tempering of swords, they went into great detail of the microscopic structure and the chemistry that caused it, not that i understood any of it but it may be useful to you, good luck. :)
