Peter and Albion,
Why in the discussion of this sword on Albion's site is the blade stated to have "H+H and +H+ inlaid" on the blade when Albion plans to deeply engrave or punch these features into the blade. I know that Albion will faithfully reproduce this sword so this discrepency caught my eye.

I think that might be a poor choice of wording -- to my knowledge it is engraving and is not technically "inlaid" with latten or other metal.
I'll check with Peter to make sure.

Any new info on how these decorations on the blade will be reproduced?
Peter, have you measured the depth of the engravings on the origonals if that is indeed what they are and will this be reproduced to such exacting detail as that given to the blade? Is is a possibility that these decorations were origonally inlayed but that the inlay wires have fallen out? I am interested in this sword and so I find the process of how these details will will translated into the museum line sword very interesting. I have a good understanding as to how the blade dimentions will be reproduced but I want to know more about these blade decorations.

At this point, we plan to do the engraving on the CNC machine -- we are still experimenting and will have a final decision on the technique when Peter visits again later this month. From the photos I have seen, it does not look to me as if there was anything inlaid in the lettering, but I leave that to Peter to answer fully, since he has handled the original.
