The Knight, the Lady and the Dragon: The Heritage of Medieval Warriors 2, Catalogue

It has some nice photos of various finds from Slovenian museums, including the sword that was inspiration for Albion Ljubljana.

Both authors, Nabergoj Tomaz and especially Tomaz Lazar have other interesting books and articles available on Academia.edu:

P. Turk, J. Istenič, T. Knific, T. Nabergoj (eds.), The Ljubljanica — a River and its Past, Ljubljana 2009

Tomaz Lazar, Archaeometallurgical characterization of a 16th century suit of armour made by Valentin Siebenbürger

Tomaz Lazar, A group of medieval swords from the National Museum of Slovenia – metallographic analyses and hardness testing

Tomaz Lazar, Late Medieval Messer - A Commoner's Sword

Tomaz Lazar, The Oldest Preserved Guns in Slovenia

And so on...

Happy reading!

Thank you for sharing with these articles Blaz. I wonder if you know where to find more information and photos of klappvisier from position number 225 from catalogue "The Knight, the Lady and the Dragon: The Heritage of Medieval Warriors"?
No, I don't think it was published in any more detail than here. I have some photos of it, and another visor that is not in catalogue but was in exhibition. I didn't take nearly enough photos because officially taking photos wasn't even allowed back then, they allowed me to take photos because my re-enactment group was participating in exhibition.

Thank you very much for the photos, that another visor looks for me like one from great bascinet.
Thanks Blaz, I've downloaded a couple articles. I love that Ljubjlana sword and hope to see it in person some day, perhaps get the Albion reconstruction.

Very nice visor pics!
