warclub face lift (pic heavy)
ok so i made that gunstock warclub a while back that i ended up having mixed feelings about the look at feel... so i decided to give it a ''plastic surgery''! i'm still not finished with it but i wanted to show the process i went through. in the end i chose to stain it because the natural color of red oak wasn't beautiful enough for that kind of work... i usedd tung oil basedd truffle colored stain.

so yeah here are the pictures (the brown stained and shaped one is the current state obviously)

i'm also making a shorter blade for it since the one shown in the pictures is too long and i always come close to stabbing my back with it when i swing

thank you for looking :)

Nicely done! I’m not normally a fan of gunstock clubs, yet that one is well shaped and decorated!

I’d also like to compliment you on your ball-end warclub finishing and decoration. The ivy is a pleasantly organic shape, and looks good next to the angles of the gunstock club.

Enjoy your results!
