Heavy Cleaving Blades
Many of us are familiar with the one- and two-handed cleaving weapons in the Maciejowski Bible, but there seem to be few surviving examples. I've found two that resemble cleavers shown in this text and others, but I'd like to see if anyone knows of any more floating around out there.

I've also included a few images of similar weapons not from the Maciejowski Bible.

Also google beidana machetes. They closely resemble the bible choppers.
Here is a previous thread about beidanas/cleavers: https://myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=32368&highlight=beidana

The first image posted here is another depiction of the death of St. Peter Martyr, which seems to very often include this type of weapon...

I am afraid that I can offer nothing concrete, except that I suspect your title may be misleading.

I suspect they were not heavy. The Conyers falchion is a/the classic falchion with a blade 12cm wide at the end, but only 1.5mm thick.

I didn't find the title misleading at all. I knew instantly from seeing the first photo, he was referring to the heavy-duty abilities of the weapons, not the actual weight of such. And I can imagine....heavy-duty indeed! ....McM
