US$552.00? Whoa! This bascinet is quite expensive.

Bascinet Griffon is a fighting historical stylization. It was created on the basis of medieval images. Unfortunately, there's almost no real iron examples, that is why the helmet can not be considered as a reconstruction. But it protects quite good, has optimal weight and good vision.
Considering that you have to move your head around during fights we gave up the Great Bascitent developing the optimal helmet. Even though the Great Bascinet completely protects the neck, you can't fight effectively due ti the movement constraint. But if you wear the pelerine with plates under the "Griffon", you will be able to move your head and your neck stays protected.

Gauntlet “Mitstone”.
In this gauntlet we have tried to combine the protection of whole fist and maximum movability because of the removable wrist.
When closing a fist, the edges of the segments grip the fingers and wrist, so that when it is hit, the all strength of the hit is evenly transferred on the handle of your weapon. The same is happening with the thumb. It is assembled not with the leather strap, but every segment is attached with the movable rivet. It allows the thumb to make the slightest needed move and prevents it from braking out. Pay attention that the tip of the thumb is covered with steel from all the sides.

Due to the removable wrist it is not needed to make a wide angle of the cuff bending off. It doesn’t lead to the opening of the wrist with some movements.
There’s leather riveted to the cuff, thumb and edge detail of the gauntlet for the padded mitten to be sewn in.

These Gauntlets are very interesting, did you derive their design from extant examples or iconography ? If you did, can you provide links / references ?

I thought I'd ask the question here (as opposed to email) as others may be interested in information on this type of gauntlet as well.

Gorget "Tristan" is based on the medieval images. It allows you to move freely, protects your neck and collarbones. The areas which usually are not protected with helmet or body armor could be covered with such gorget. It can be sewn to pelerine at the top or at the bottom (if you have a collar on the gambeson).
