I let that Tritonia on ebay get away!!! Grrr. There have been three swords I really regretted not purchasing. One was a Hrisoulas swiss bastard about 5 years ago, it went on ebay for 700 bucks. Another was a A&A Henry V last year at SFI for 300 dollars. Now a Tritonia for 800 bucks. Rackin FRACK IT!!!!!

I think of all the Albion pieces I handled at the Vegas show the Tritonia was the one that appealed to me most, at least in terms of its potential destructive power ! Visually (or perhaps ethnically ;-) I liked the Caithness !

I got a real sense of the damage that this piece could do, once it gets up to speed, and it calls to one to cut something !
I've no idea how this one performs but it certainly would have been my first choice, to try , given the pieces there !

i spent some quality time with one last year.

real simple: the thing is a beast. . .

. . . and is an awesome cutter when put to proper use - with a couple hundred pounds of horse behind it.

i absolutely love the hilt and the only thing keeping me from blowing my allowance on one is that i really have no use for a horseman's sword. . . i really don't. . . really. . .

. . . now if i could just twist Peter's arm into making me one with a similar hilt built on a type X or type XII blade. . .

I know what you mean when you say that you pasted up a sword that you regret not purchasing. I can think of three in the past year that I regret not moving on- a Patrick Barta Damascus Viking sword on Ebay (I lost it to David Wilson by a matter of minutes), the Castle Keep Baskethilt that you had up for sale, and an Erik Stevenson pappenhiemer that was owned by the late Don Nelson and Bill Grandy was able to get about an hour before I saw it up for sale. That is why I couldn't let the Tritonia get away (I decided to snatch it up last minute off of Ebay) as I have wanted that sword since I first saw it.

Hey James, yeah I noticed you were the lucky guy. Congratulations! I think you got a decent deal on what appears to be an outstanding sword. You will have to let us know what you think when you actually have it in hand. At least I can live vicariously right? :)

Absolutely James, all's well that ends well for everyone as it turns out! :) Steve, congratulations to you as well! A GBS was the very first Euro sword that I ever bought and it is STILL one of my favorites. Nathan wasn't kidding when he said that it's one of the top production swords made. I know you will be very pleased with it.

I just received my Tritonia and it is beuatiful. I am so excited! :) :)
