Damascus Spear (7 billets)
Hello friends, last weeks I have been working on this great spear with real pleasure. When making such complex blades with several layers, sometimes I feel a bit stress or tension but most of time it means very interesting work that makes me really happy! Originally I thought about keeping it for myself, but I decided to post it here for sale. Both cutting edges are cca 0,5mm thick.

Made of 7 Billets:
High carbon steel
Straight damascus steel
Twisted damascus steel
Wrought iron
Wtisted damascus steel
Straight damascus steel
High carbon steel
CUTTING EDGE: 284 mm
Socket: 210 mm, inner diameter 27 mm
weight: 730 grams

I've not seen too many spearheads riveted to the socket - I've been made to think that's more of a bronze age sort of thing. What really surprises me on that front is why you don't see weapons like partisans with long , riveted tangs or langets, considering the stresses put on the root of a blade in a cutting strike.

However, the real subject here is your work, and it's great as always! Is there a historical example acting as inspiration for this particular piece?
