I found this on my ramblings through antique sites as I was looking at the swords. I thought the Wheel Lock crowd might appreciate a pic or 2 (all pics are by Michael D. Long, Ltd., more pics there). Beautiful piece of work from Ca. 1500's and it works if they are correct in their assesment.

Well, Nate, you got MY attention! Gorgeous, no question there! But not in my price range this month, I fear, LOL! :eek:
I would imagine that as long as the springs are still sound, and the chain doesn't have any cracks in it, it ought to work just fine. But of course it isn't the kind of thing you want to test, for fear of finding out that it ISN'T in the right condition, LOL! Might prove to be an expensive experiment, I would think! :surprised:
