About a year ago, I've designed a Chinese dadao for a student in mainland China. He wanted something resemble my DS, so I designed one within the constrain of Zheng Qi Ren's capability. Today we finally got the swords and I made a review and "accidentally destructive test" with it. Man....

Metallurgy wise, it's edge retention is slightly inferior than Cold Steel katana 60HRC+ heat treating. Damage withstanding is far from Longship Armoury's 5160H ability in the same edge thickness, since Longship also made many of my designs and the same accidents happened to them too. Thus I have results to compare. But this sword is at the lowest price among them at 395 USD before shipping, so that's reasonable.

I've three in stock including the one used in the test, which I already repaired and sharpened to my standard.
