I picked up an Indian made Rondel from Medieval FightClub last week. Gave it a dress up.
What it looked like when I got it.
Making the top rondel. I made this from scratch and slightly larger than the bottom rondel.
And done. I used the original rondel for the front and gave it some file work and reused the original grip as it was actually pretty good timber.
The blade came with a threaded tang and I had a brass nut that fitted so a quick bit of file work and a polish and it does a reasonable job of hiding it. I peened the threaded bit as well. Unfortunately I nicked the rondel with the file.
Really well done, that's a nice upgrade
ive gpot that same model of rondel, but im keeping mine blunt for shows and any combat i might do with it i might try this mod as well, trim the pommel nut etc
